Cloud Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Create and manage cloud strategy and adaptation processes
• Design, plan, maintain, and support the organization's cloud computing environment
• Monitor cloud resource consumption, application performance, and system security posture
• Design technical solutions on AWS public cloud environments including functional design specifications and reference architectures
• Collaborate with Engineering and IT security teams to analyze SLAs, KRI, and KPI metrics
• Participate in an on-call rotation for production-critical AWS events

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS
• Working knowledge of EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch
• Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and IAM implementation
• Experience with AWS network infrastructure including VPCs, security groups, NACLs, VPNs, and Direct Connect
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch and CloudTrail

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery best practices within AWS
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders
