Cloud Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor IT operations team members through technical guidance and hands-on coaching
• Own and grow the AWS environment, implementing architecture patterns, cost optimization, and security hardening
• Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application services
• Build operational maturity through documentation, runbooks, and incident response procedures
• Partner with engineering teams to provide reliable and secure infrastructure
• Lead incident response and conduct blameless post-mortems

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS, Fargate, IAM, IaC)
• Strong background with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
• Experience managing and developing technical team members
• Proven track record of implementing operational processes and documentation standards
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and IAM policies
• Strong communication skills to translate technical complexity for stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience optimizing costs for ML/GPU workloads
• Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience with monitoring tools like DataDog, CloudWatch, or Grafana
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator)
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Ruby
