Responsibilities

• Refine the technical thesis for scalable, durable, and effective weed control
• Develop commercial strategy including IP strategy, differentiation, and competition
• Define value proposition, market, and techno-economics
• Formulate regulatory strategy and positioning
• Lead fundraising strategy and pitching
• Optimize company strategy for the most rapid path to Series A
• Recruit advisory and co-founding team members

Requirements

• Previous Founder experience
• Previous C-suite experience
• Previous fundraising experience from VCs
• Commercial/BD expertise in licensing, partnering, or collaborations
• Strong track record of building and leading successful teams
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Core science depth in biochemistry, molecular biology, plant physiology, phytopathology, or agricultural engineering
• Experience in safer small molecule discovery or physical herbicide controls
• Knowledge of biological modes of action like RNAi or pollen sterility
• Experience in crop trait development or precision application systems
• Expertise in translational execution from discovery to field efficacy
• Experience with regulatory bodies (EPA/EU) and GLP study planning
