Collection Manager - UAE

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement collections strategies for digital lending, RNPL, credit lines and micro‑finance products.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly collection performance; identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage early‑stage (soft) and late‑stage (hard) collections, including skip tracing and field collections when applicable.
• Oversee relationships with external service providers (collection agencies, legal firms) and ensure timely legal follow‑up per company policy.
• Optimize omnichannel contact strategies (SMS, email, WhatsApp, in‑app notifications) and automated reminders.
• Ensure all collection activities comply with UAE laws and CBUAE regulations; develop and maintain policies, SOPs and governance standards.
• Identify high‑risk accounts and recommend escalations, restructures, or settlements according to guidelines.
• Maintain high customer service standards while achieving recovery targets; resolve escalated disputes professionally.
• Collaborate with customer support, risk and product teams to address systemic repayment issues.
• Track portfolio performance (DPD buckets, roll rates, NPL ratios) and prepare management reports, forecasts and dashboards.
• Leverage data analytics to segment cohorts and improve collection efficiency; support AI/data‑driven collection initiatives.
• Work with product and engineering to enhance digital collection tools, CRM workflows and scorecards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years
• Collections experience
• UAE regulations
• Fintech experience
• Analytics skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a fintech startup or digital‑first lending environment
• Experience managing external collection agencies and legal partners
• Proven track record improving recovery and NPL metrics through data‑driven strategies
• Familiarity with CRM and collections platforms and AI‑enabled collection tools
