Job Description

We are hiring a Collection Officer based in Dubai (hybrid) to lead and optimise collections across digital lending and credit products. The role focuses on improving recovery performance, ensuring CBUAE compliance, and maintaining strong customer experience while working closely with product, risk, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement collections strategies for digital lending, RNPL, credit lines, and micro-finance products
  • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly collection performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage early-stage (soft) and late-stage (hard) collections, including skip tracing and field collections where applicable
  • Oversee relationships with external collection agencies and legal partners; manage legal escalation and recovery actions per company policy
  • Optimise omni-channel contact strategies (SMS, email, WhatsApp, in-app notifications)
  • Ensure accurate portfolio tracking (DPD buckets, roll rates, NPL ratios) and prepare management reports with forecasts and dashboards
  • Leverage data analytics to segment cohorts and improve collection efficiency; support AI-driven collection initiatives
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to enhance digital collection tools, automation, and scorecards
  • Maintain CRM and collections systems for workflow tracking and accurate records

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in collections, credit operations, or risk
  • Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations and CBUAE requirements
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end collections operations
  • Proficiency with CRM and collections systems
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior fintech or digital lending experience (startup environment preferred)
  • Experience managing external collection agencies and legal recoveries
  • Familiarity with AI/data-driven collection tools and automation
  • Hands-on experience with skip tracing, field collections and dispute resolution
