Commercial Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead cost planning, contract administration, and commercial control for major construction and development projects.
• Oversee cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions across complex project scopes.
• Manage financial lifecycles including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for high-value project budgets.
• Review and approve contractor valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Provide strategic input on procurement, contract structures, and value engineering.
• Lead dispute resolution, contractual negotiations, and claims management.
• Manage and mentor a team of Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks at both project and portfolio levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in commercial management for large-scale construction or development projects.
• Strong command of contract law and FIDIC conditions.
• Proven expertise in procurement strategies and commercial negotiations.
• Expert proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as MRICS or PMP.
• Extensive experience managing complex, high-value developments within the UAE or GCC region.
