Responsibilities

  • Develop and document a community management playbook for Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation
  • Evolve brand tone of voice to resonate with global audiences
  • Identify and act on engagement opportunities to connect with new or underrepresented audiences
  • Amplify community stories, milestones, and impact moments
  • Stay current with social media platform innovations and emerging trends
  • Recommend and test community management and social listening tools
  • Track and report on engagement performance, community sentiment, and emerging discussions

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in community management across social media platforms
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts dynamics
  • Experience using social listening tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop a unique brand tone of voice
  • Sound editorial judgment and cultural awareness
  • Experience working with distributed, remote teams
