Compliance Geofencing Controls SME

Responsibilities

• Own the product lifecycle for geolocation and sanctions compliance controls from ideation through launch and continuous improvement.
• Translate regulations and policy requirements (sanctions, embargoes, restricted jurisdictions) into functional system requirements and technical specifications.
• Design and lead implementation of IP- and location-based controls (geofencing, access restrictions, monitoring alerts) to prevent interactions with sanctioned or restricted jurisdictions.
• Partner with engineering and data science teams to integrate advanced detection techniques (AI/ML) and reduce false positives.
• Serve as the subject-matter expert on geolocation-based sanctions controls and jurisdictional risk.
• Support regulatory exams, internal audits, and policy reviews with authoritative technical and compliance guidance.
• Monitor changes in global sanctions frameworks and proactively update geolocation enforcement strategies.
• Produce internal training and knowledge materials on sanctions evasion methods (VPNs, proxies) and mitigation approaches.
