Consultant - Model Audit

Responsibilities

• Lead model audit assignments ensuring models are arithmetically and commercially sound
• Use software checks and parallel model development to identify errors
• Review and interpret commercial documentation for its accurate reflection in financial models
• Take ownership of assignments, demonstrating initiative and commitment to high-quality output
• Contribute to developing and enhancing financial modeling methodologies and tools
• Prepare comprehensive documentation detailing assumptions, methodologies, and results
• Maintain meticulous records to ensure high standards and process consistency
• Assist with project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for effective delivery
• Train, motivate, and manage junior team members
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and contribute to assignments
• Effectively communicate findings and insights to clients and internal teams
• Simplify complex financial modeling issues for non-technical stakeholders
• Support in developing client pitches
• Participate in client calls and help build relationships

Requirements

• Demonstrate Drive, Innovation, Collaboration, and Excellence
• 2-4 years experience in a financial role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate
• Appreciation of accounting concepts (accounting qualification is a plus)
• Understanding of Project Finance concepts
• Strong analytical skills and experience in building and operating financial models using Excel
• Degree in a numerate discipline (postgraduate in accounting or finance is a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team

Preferred Qualifications

• Accounting qualification
• Postgraduate degree in accounting or finance
• Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard
