Consultant - Nature and Climate Task Force

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Nature Policy officer in coordinating partner work to advocate and implement nature and climate conservation policies across the ECA Region
• Prepare, organize, and follow up on NCTF meetings for European and Central Asia Partners (remote and in-person/hybrid)
• Support the development and advocacy of BirdLife positions and briefings related to nature policy at the EU level
• Support the secretariat in producing relevant information on positions, activities, and strategies

Requirements

• Relevant academic degree, preferably in Environmental Sciences or Biology
• Minimum 3 years of experience in nature and conservation policy advocacy and implementation at EU and regional levels
• Sound grasp of EU institutions and relevant International Environmental Agreements
• Ability to understand and present policy documents in written and oral form
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with the BirdLife partnership
• Experience with the implementation of nature conservation policies at a national level
• Proficiency in other European or Central Asian languages
