Content Localization Editor, Math Education Videos, Australian English

Responsibilities

• Review IXL math video content and suggest adaptations for the Australian market
• Ensure spelling, punctuation, grammar, and terminology align with Australian English conventions
• Adapt content for cultural relevance to avoid US-centrism
• Verify grade-level appropriateness and adherence to IXL style guides
• Ensure pedagogical relevance according to Australian teaching methodologies
• Answer queries regarding Australian English, cultural customs, and math curriculum

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field
• Experience as a math teacher within the Australian education system (primary or secondary)
• Impeccable knowledge of Australian English linguistic conventions and culture
• Extensive knowledge of Australian pedagogy and teaching methodologies
• Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or background in English education in Australia
• Familiarity working with style manuals and guides (e.g., The Chicago Manual of Style)
