Controller

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Lead annual financial statement audits and manage external auditor relationships
• Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury, and banking relationships
• Hire, manage, and develop accounting team members
• Act as a player-coach, balancing strategic leadership with direct execution of day-to-day tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification required
• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a management role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606
• Experience leading audits and implementing internal controls
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience in high-growth or startup SaaS environments
