Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Own the company’s close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and scalable financial reporting
• Serve as the senior technical accounting leader for revenue recognition, inventory, leases, and stock-based compensation
• Build financial reporting processes and governance practices aligned with public-company standards
• Serve as the primary executive liaison for external auditors
• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable internal control framework
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing accounting organization
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize ERP and financial systems like NetSuite

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification required
• 12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• 7+ years of people management experience
• Prior experience in a public-company or highly regulated reporting environment
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, and internal controls
• Proven experience managing external audits

Preferred Qualifications

• Big 4 public accounting background
• Experience in defense technology, aerospace, manufacturing, or hardware-enabled software
• Experience supporting a company through a liquidity event or public-company readiness
• Strong background in inventory and cost accounting
• ERP implementation experience, specifically NetSuite
• Familiarity with government contracting requirements
