Controller

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration from QuickBooks to a modern AI-first ERP
• Build automations and AI-native workflows into close, AP, AR, expense, and reporting
• Lead month-end close, financial reporting, audit, tax, and compliance
• Own AP, AR, payroll, GL, and T&E
• Partner with the Head of Finance on the design and implementation of product- and customer-level cost accounting
• Assist with investor communications and translating finance for non-finance leaders

Requirements

• CPA certification
• Bachelor's or higher in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including time as a Controller
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Big 4 company audit experience
• US Person; clearance eligible
• Ability to build automations, ideally incorporating AI

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading foundational system migrations (ERP, inventory, or billing)
• Hands-on experience with modern ERPs like NetSuite, Sage Intacct, DualEntry, Rillet, or Campfire
• Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience
• Depth in cost accounting (allocation, customer profitability, R&D economics)
• Familiarity with government cost accounting (CAS / DCAA)
• SaaS or GovTech industry experience
