Responsibilities

• Own accounting, payroll, tax filing, invoicing, and expense management via QuickBooks
• Direct the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and year-end consolidated financial statements
• Coordinate external audits of consolidated financial statements
• Establish and monitor accounting policies, practices, and internal control environments
• Implement processes to forecast and manage cash receipts and disbursements
• Provide timely reporting and analysis to management and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with evolving tax laws regarding marketplaces and remote-first companies

Requirements

• Experience in accounting/finance at a growth-stage or late-stage startup
• Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Expert knowledge of US GAAP principles
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks (QBO preferred)
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
• Proven ability to implement Internal Control over Financial Reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in eCommerce or Marketplaces
