Copyeditor

Responsibilities

• Copyedit English-language journal articles, books, and conference papers for syntax, grammar, and spelling errors
• Ensure all content aligns with the company’s in-house style and academic standards
• Upload and format references using established citation styles
• Perform quality control on references to identify missing or incomplete data
• Incorporate author and client corrections and coordinate with production providers
• Write clear and accurate conference synopses based on provided proceedings
• Support the full publishing lifecycle from manuscript submission to final publication

Requirements

• Exceptional level of written English
• Strong attention to detail and high level of organization
• Knowledge of various referencing styles (e.g., APA, Chicago, Harvard, Vancouver, Bluebook)
• Familiarity with academic writing styles across different disciplines
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in the Arabic language
• Previous experience working with or publishing in academic journals
