Core Product Lead

Responsibilities

• Build and develop the Core PM team, including hiring, coaching, and managing performance across Platform, Databases, Auth, Storage, Functions, and Realtime.
• Set the product strategy across the Core division, deciding on long-term bets and ensuring products reinforce each other.
• Make critical cross-product prioritization calls to balance the needs of interconnected services like Auth, Databases, and Realtime.
• Coach Product Managers on core crafts including customer evidence, problem definition, success metrics, and written communication.
• Represent the Core division in leadership meetings, translating engineering reality into actionable company strategy.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing product managers, ideally at a Director level or equivalent.
• 8+ years of product management experience, specifically within developer tools or infrastructure.
• Deep technical proficiency in distributed systems, databases, or cloud platforms.
• Experience shipping products in the Postgres, database, or developer-infrastructure space.
• Ability to work asynchronously and make decisions through high-quality written artifacts.
• A bias toward speed and the ability to use AI tools to accelerate research and synthesis.
