Corporate Accounting Lead

About the Company

KoBold builds AI models for mineral exploration and deploys those models—alongside our novel sensors—to guide decisions on KoBold-owned-and-operated exploration programs. In the six years since founding, KoBold has become by far both the largest independent mineral exploration company and the largest exploration technology developer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reporting to joint venture partners
• Manage full cycle accounting for multiple entities in various jurisdictions
• Assist with financial reporting and compliance with local accounting rules
• Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Assist with quarterly consolidated variance analysis
• Support field exploration teams by preparing project reports
• Process invoices through accounts payable workflow and manage vendor compliance
• Assist with annual corporate reporting, indirect tax filings, and other multi-country requirements
• Assist with information flow and documentation for audits
• Assist with building AI agents and automation with accounting software platforms
• Provide support for miscellaneous projects in accounting and operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting
• Experience working with international operations
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to learn new tools and technology quickly
• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
• Flexibility to accommodate meetings with staff and vendors overseas

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with joint ventures in exploration or mining
• Experience implementing new systems
