Corporate Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide M&A and corporate transaction support, including due diligence, negotiation, and legal integration
• Serve as principal legal advisor to senior management on strategy, risk, and compliance matters
• Review externally facing documents, including websites, RFPs, and marketing materials, for legal risk
• Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams on consumer protection, data protection, privacy, and regulatory frameworks
• Assist in intellectual property management and protection
• Support crisis response and management efforts
• Serve as Corporate Secretary for Renaissance Charitable Foundation (RCF) and support the Board of Directors
• Provide governance support to ARC entities
• Manage and oversee outside counsel
• Leverage AI tools to streamline legal research, document drafting, and contract review

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in at least one state
• 5+ years of legal experience in-house or at a law firm with a corporate, M&A, or transactional focus
• In-depth knowledge of M&A, corporate finance, governance, and corporate transactions
• Demonstrated AI fluency using AI-assisted tools for legal research or contract analysis
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with employment, intellectual property, and/or data protection and privacy
• Experience collaborating with executives and board members
