Job description

Responsibilities

  • Review, negotiate, and manage third-party contracts including MSAs, commercial, consulting, and supply agreements
  • Manage and analyze existing contract templates and develop new ones in accordance with company guidelines
  • Advise internal clients on contract management systems and policies
  • Collaborate with in-house attorneys and paralegals to achieve legal goals
  • Create and conduct legal training for employees regarding contract processes
  • Research and analyze legal issues to provide recommendations to business partners
  • Prepare contract summaries and issue lists for executives
  • Monitor compliance with internal business and legal processes

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as in-house counsel or at a nationally recognized law firm
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in California or able to obtain in-house counsel registration in California
  • Strong drafting, review, and proofing skills in contract law
  • Deep understanding of indemnities, liability, IP, warranties, and dispute resolution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document comparison tools
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis as needed
