Counter-Threat Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and operationalize strategic, tactical, and operational threat intelligence
• Perform adversary-focused research and ethical hacking activities to validate exposures
• Partner with Security Operations to create and tune detections and playbooks
• Support Continuous Threat Exposure Management efforts
• Produce actionable threat intelligence reports and technical recommendations
• Contribute to incident response investigations
• Maintain awareness of threat actor tradecraft and vulnerability trends
• Use independent judgment to make recommendations on defensive priorities

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience
• At least 2 years in threat intelligence, ethical hacking, or related roles
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or similar offensive security certification
• Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and cyber kill chain
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, XDR/EDR, and vulnerability scanners
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and executive briefings
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or cloud-first environments
• Experience building threat hunting content (Sigma/YARA)
• Familiarity with scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)
