About the Company

Crosby is the first AI-native law firm, helping ambitious companies sign commercial contracts faster. We build proprietary tools and human-in-the-loop workflows that change what's possible for corporate legal teams. Crosby Intelligence is the research-focused arm of Crosby Legal.

Responsibilities

• Pursue individual, focused research projects in legal AI and automated negotiation
• Produce a published paper, benchmark, or open-source artifact by the end of the program
• Engage in regular sessions with practicing attorneys for problem framing, annotation, and evaluation
• Explore frontier problems such as reward models under expert disagreement, high-fidelity negotiation simulation, or surgical editing benchmarks

Requirements

• Strong background in machine learning or NLP
• Ability to execute a research project independently
• Ability to incorporate feedback
• Valid work authorization in your country of residence
• PhD student, postdoc, faculty, or independent researcher status
