Czech VRI/OPI Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally and adhere to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take accurate notes during calls and render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients using healthcare and medical terminology
• Provide the highest level of customer service during interpreting sessions
• Comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Communicate and report to your team leader

Requirements

• Fluent in English and native in Czech
• 1+ years of over-the-telephone interpretation experience with a recognized interpretation company
• Good knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology awareness is a plus
• High school diploma in your native language
• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for different cultures
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• International healthcare certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Dedicated wired internet: minimum 10 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload (Wi-Fi not allowed)
• Windows 10 or higher, dual core 2 GHz processor, 8 GB RAM minimum
• Wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no wireless/Bluetooth)
• Computer must operate in "High Performance" mode with power adapter plugged in
