Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building AI-driven data products for the data ecosystem, including agents, chatbots, automatic query rewriting, and automated model and documentation generation
• Help maintain reliable agentic systems by implementing validations and instrumenting observability (LangFuse and similar tools)
• Evolve and maintain internal MCPs and integrations across tools such as dbt, Metabase, and Slack
• Support technical decisions by running comparative experiments and gathering cost, latency, and quality data
• Participate in code reviews, reviewing simpler changes and receiving feedback to grow quickly
• Collaborate with adjacent teams including Data Platform and Analytics Engineering

Requirements

• Python and SQL
• Programming logic, algorithms, and data structures
• Basic pipeline orchestration knowledge (Airflow, dbt, or Dataform)
• Familiarity with a cloud solution
• Basic understanding of system integration via APIs and webhooks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with monitoring and observability
• Exposure to LLMs and agentic systems, including prompt engineering, agents, tools, RAG, and MCP
• Experience building robust integrations (APIs, webhooks, MCPs)
• Claude Code skills
• Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
