Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data architectures and schemas to support data ingestion from multiple operational and infrastructure systems
• Develop and maintain automated ETL/ELT processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse data sources
• Build and support API integrations, database queries, scripting solutions, and file-parsing methods
• Normalize and standardize data across various platforms and vendor applications into a common data model
• Integrate data into enterprise telemetry, monitoring, reporting, and analytics platforms
• Design and optimize data pipelines to support compliance monitoring, change tracking, and operational analytics
• Implement and maintain moderately complex logical and physical database designs
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
• Troubleshoot and resolve production data collection, integration, and quality issues
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external vendors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Business Intelligence
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft analytics and data platform technologies
• Strong experience with Kusto Query Language (KQL)
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server / SQL development
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
• Strong experience with Power Apps and/or Power Automate
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, and integration from multiple source systems
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and database design
• Experience working with APIs, scripting, and structured data formats

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Databricks
• Experience supporting operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), or building automation systems (BAS)
• Strong scripting experience with PowerShell
• Experience with cloud-based data integration, orchestration, and monitoring solutions
