Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake and Delta Live Tables to support trading, market data and risk workflows.
• Support production pipelines: job monitoring, incident resolution, performance tuning and SLA management.
• Administer Databricks workspaces and Unity Catalog: cluster configuration, access control, job scheduling and workspace optimization.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated testing, deployment and version control.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts and engineering peers to define requirements, deliver solutions and create reusable frameworks.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering, with a minimum of 2 years working hands-on with Azure Databricks.
• Strong experience with production pipeline support, monitoring and alerting.
• Familiarity with capital markets data (market data feeds, order books, trade execution, risk metrics).
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) preferred.
• Experience integrating real-time processing platforms such as Kafka or Azure Event Hubs.
