Data Engineer

Luxor is the leading software and services provider for Bitcoin miners and the broader compute industry. Our full-stack platform supports gigawatts of compute infrastructure, giving operators the tools to monetize their compute, optimize and trade hardware, access financial instruments, and manage energy.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable and reliable data pipelines that provide accurate data feeds from internal and external systems
• Govern scalable & performant cloud-deployed production relational and non-relational databases
• Collaborate on architecture definitions, always thinking of solutions that are scalable and secure
• Drive data systems to be as near real-time as possible
• Design, document, automate and execute test plans to ensure the quality of the datasets
• Participate in the process of generating and analyzing features

Requirements

• Experience building streaming & batch data pipelines/ETL
• Expert in Python, PostgreSQL, and PL/pgSQL
• Experience with administration of large databases and performance tuning
• Experience with scalability solutions and multi-region replication/failover
• Experience with data warehouse technologies such as Trino, Clickhouse, or Airflow
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• English language proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a relevant data field
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
• Knowledge of blockchain technology or the mining pool industry
• Experience with Kafka, Redpanda, or Redpanda Connect
• Experience delivering web-scale data systems in production
• Experience with agile development methodology
