About the Company

Overflow is a Series C, growth-stage technology company on a bold mission: to inspire the world to give. We're a vertical fintech and SaaS platform unlocking more ways to give — cash, stock, crypto, and beyond — through a beautifully designed ecosystem built for high-impact churches, nonprofits, and mission-driven institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and own Overflow's core data infrastructure including pipelines, warehouses, data models, and orchestration
  • Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to deliver clean, reliable data across the platform
  • Build and maintain a unified data layer integrating data across Engineering, Product, Finance, Revenue, Success, and Operations
  • Design well-structured, intuitive data models for self-service analytics and OLAP views
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure for real-time visibility into key business metrics
  • Partner with the Head of AI to design storage schemas for semi-structured and unstructured data to power MLOps and RAG pipelines
  • Implement Databricks Unity Catalog to establish strict data governance and access controls
  • Implement data quality monitoring, alerting, and validation frameworks

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Experience as a first or lead Data Engineer in a fast-growing tech, fintech, or SaaS company
  • Proven ability to design efficient OLAP schemas for complex financial transactions
  • Strong proficiency with AWS data services and Change Data Capture pipelines
  • Strong familiarity with NoSQL and relational SQL databases
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements from Finance and Sales into technical models

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Databricks SQL/BI tools
  • Understanding of the fintech ecosystem, including transactional data, ledgering, and reconciliation
  • Experience working in SOC 2 aligned environments
