Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines and Python services running on AWS (Lambda, ECS)
• Develop and maintain dbt models in our Snowflake warehouse with tests and documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation, triage pipeline failures, and contribute to post-mortems
• Partner with BI and Analytics Engineering teams to translate needs into DE work
• Migrate scheduled tasks and pipelines into Airflow DAGs
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and team standards
• Mentor newer team members and review their work

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a closely-related role
• Strong Python programming skills with an understanding of idiomatic patterns
• Advanced SQL skills including window functions and performance optimization
• Conceptual understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery)
• Comfort working in a cloud computing environment, ideally AWS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dbt
• Experience with Airflow or other orchestration tools
• Experience with ETL tools like Fivetran, Rivery, or Stitch
• Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
• Domain experience in healthcare
