Responsibilities

• Define and execute a strategic vision for data engineering aligned with business goals
• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to prioritize the technical roadmap
• Oversee the development and maintenance of scalable, reliable data pipelines and infrastructure
• Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, privacy, security, and HIPAA compliance
• Build, grow, and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers
• Drive the successful execution of data engineering projects including planning and resource allocation

Requirements

• 5+ years in Data or Software Engineering
• 2+ years in Data Engineering leadership roles
• Hands-on expertise with DBT, Airflow, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience building and supporting Data Warehouse solutions
• Experience working in a HIPAA regulated environment or similar regulated industry
• Strong drive for automated testing and test-based development
• Proven track record of delivering complex software projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR or OHDSI
• Experience working in a startup environment
• Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
