Data Migration Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy databases from different school ERPs, understanding tables, relations, and implicit rules
• Investigate, map, and interpret raw data to identify inconsistencies, patterns, and exceptions
• Create, adjust, and execute complex SQL scripts including advanced SELECTs, JOINs, aggregations, mass updates, and data cleaning processes
• Transform varied datasets to the Activesoft standard, ensuring data integrity, completeness, and quality
• Identify issues such as missing data, corrupted structures, and divergent rules, proposing practical solutions
• Document learnings, patterns found, and improvements for the migration process
• Collaborate with implementation and onboarding teams to align business rules and validate final data

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of SQL with experience in advanced queries and large data volumes
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Ability to investigate undocumented databases and discover patterns
• Sharp logical reasoning and high attention to detail
• Experience with structured data and data modeling notions
• Organization and clarity for documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with data migration or ETL processes
• Knowledge of Python and Git for simple automations
• Familiarity with school ERPs or administrative systems
• Self-taught profile comfortable exploring new systems and bases
