Data Ops Lead

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end journey of turning raw consumer audio streams into production-ready datasets for AI labs
• Structure and manage data deals to turn recordings into revenue
• Maintain high quality bars for all datasets to ensure customer retention
• Establish human transcription, annotation, and other overseas operations
• Interface with buyer-side engineering and research teams to translate specifications into deliverable plans
• Partner with internal engineering and external vendors to ensure pipeline support for sold datasets

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the US
• 5+ years of experience building and scaling data pipelines for AI/ML applications
• Significant experience with audio, speech, or multimodal data
• Proven track record of structuring and delivering dataset agreements with external partners
• Experience managing overseas or outsourced teams for data tagging, annotation, and QA
• Deep expertise in designing QA processes and defining acceptance criteria
• Technical fluency in digital audio fundamentals (sample rates, VAD, multichannel formats)
• Founder's mentality with the ability to build from zero
