
Data Scientist - Remote Sensing

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain remote sensing and computer vision pipelines.
- Apply machine learning, statistical, or signal-processing techniques.
- Contribute across the full lifecycle from exploration to production.
- Work with heterogeneous data sources and evolving schemas.
- Improve processing performance and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in remote sensing or applied data science.
- Strong Python proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with SAR data (Sentinel-1 strongly preferred).
- Experience with satellite time series and geospatial data.
- Familiarity with rasterio, shapely, geopandas, xarray, or equivalent.
- Ability to deliver production-ready workflows.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ESA Sentinel missions.
- Exposure to change detection, object detection, or anomaly detection.
- Experience with multiple satellite data providers.
- Familiarity with Airflow or similar tools.
- CV / ML frameworks (OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Cloud experience and SQL/Postgres.
