Data Visual Designer - 3-month Contract

Responsibilities

• Design compelling, user-friendly dashboards, reports, and interactive data experiences.
• Translate raw data and analysis into meaningful stories and visual narratives.
• Contribute to product design from research and flows through to polished high-fidelity design in Figma.
• Work closely with product leads, analysts, developers, and stakeholders to align on needs and solutions.
• Develop and maintain design standards, templates, and components for data visualisation within the design system.
• Ensure accessibility, accuracy, and performance in all data-driven designs.
• Bring fresh thinking from both product design and data visualisation trends to elevate the work.

Requirements

• Experience as a Product Designer or Senior Designer with a strong emphasis on data visualisation.
• Portfolio demonstrating product design craft, especially in dashboards, data-driven UI, and digital products.
• Skilled in Figma and at least one visualisation tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Ability to interpret, validate, and simplify complex datasets into clear user experiences.
• Understanding principles for data exploration and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to operate independently, and mentor junior designers.
