Data Warehouse Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing data engineering team, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of trust, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Prioritize and deliver mission-critical projects, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes by driving world-class results.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest data from various sources into the warehouse or data lake.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data quality, consistency, and integrity, ensuring the reliability of all data systems.
• Implement and maintain data governance policies and compliance with data privacy/security regulations.
• Document data engineering processes, flows, and system architecture to ensure transparent knowledge sharing across the team.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, infrastructure, and cross-functional teams to optimize and integrate the data infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, handling large-scale data processing and ETL pipelines.
• Minimum 2+ years managing a technical team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-team work.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, and with Apache Spark or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database technologies including data modeling.
• Familiarity with data integration/workflow management tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and solutions strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex data-related challenges and propose innovative solutions.
