Job description
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical resource for DBT-informed treatment approaches and specialty patient populations
- Provide informal consultation to clinicians regarding case conceptualization, treatment planning, and DBT interventions
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy using modalities like DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Facilitate psychotherapy group therapy for adult patients
- Coordinate care with internal and external providers to support continuity of treatment
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Participate in weekly group supervision, 1:1 meetings, and education meetings
Requirements
- Active New York State License (LCSW or LMHC)
- Certifications in DBT modalities
- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience providing psychotherapy to diverse populations
- 3+ years of combined training and active practice in DBT psychotherapy
- 1+ year of experience facilitating psychotherapy group therapy for adults
- Proficiency with Google Suite and EHR platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading DBT skills groups for fellow clinicians or other evidence-based psychotherapy groups
