Design Engineer III - Structures

Responsibilities

• Applies standard engineering practices and techniques to provide effective solutions
• Reviews customer SOW, technical specs, and interface control drawings
• Creates technical documentation for evolving designs
• Ensures appropriate material selection and process application
• Composes compliance matrices for customer specifications
• Assists in engineering quotes and produces service bulletins
• Communicates with customers/suppliers and ensures compliance
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of engineering concepts
• Proficient in NX, CATIA V5/V6, CREO CAD software
• Creates composite details using Fibersim/CATIA CPD
• Leads teams and facilitates design reviews
• Directs work of others and serves as expert resource

Requirements

• BSME, BSCE, or related engineering degree
• 10+ years aerospace industry experience
• Proficiency in NX, CATIA V5/V6, CREO
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with composite design and aircraft systems
• Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations
