Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Product Designers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and growth planning
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leads to define design strategy
• Set and hold a high bar for design craft and provide specific, user-grounded feedback
• Step in to do hands-on design work when the team needs support
• Run design reviews, crits, and stakeholder conversations
• Hire and onboard new designers as the team grows
• Contribute to the evolution of the design system and cross-product consistency
• Establish and refine scalable design processes
• Model thoughtful use of AI tools within the design workflow

Requirements

• 3+ years leading a team of product designers
• Experience with hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Experience partnering in a cross-functional product trio
• Track record of shaping ambiguous problems alongside product and engineering
• Strong design craft and ability to provide high-level feedback
• Clear, confident communicator in writing and in person
• Fluency in Figma

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to a design system
• Background as an IC product designer
• Familiarity with church management software or the faith-based sector
• Experience integrating AI-assisted design tools into workflows
