Detection Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-fidelity detections across cloud, identity, endpoint, and SaaS environments
• Practice detection-as-code using version control, peer review, and CI/CD workflows
• Use AI to author, test, and document detection rules at scale

Requirements

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on detection engineering
• Proficiency in detection languages like Sigma, KQL, SPL, or YARA-L
• Strong coding skills, preferably in Python, for automation and testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with attack simulation frameworks like Atomic Red Team
• Background in threat hunting or incident response in cloud environments
• Experience with UEBA or statistical/ML-based detection methods
