Responsibilities

• Grow online conversations across the PostHog forum, Discord, and subreddit.
• Maintain and seed high-quality discussions on topics like growth engineering and product design.
• Build a "superfans operating system" to identify, spotlight, and reward power users, OSS contributors, and founders.
• Develop systems to recognize and enable community members through rewards and engagement.
• Collaborate with the IRL events team to bridge the gap between online communities and offline meetups.
• Manage potential community incidents or guideline violations.

Requirements

• Proven track record of building or stewarding high-quality online communities (Discord, Slack, Reddit, etc.).
• Must be an active PostHog user with the ability to hold credible technical conversations.
• Experience as an active participant in developer communities.
• Strong public writing and speaking skills to model conversational standards.
• Alignment with PostHog's core values.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an Open Source Software (OSS) maintainer.
• Experience running developer-focused programs such as ambassadors, champions, or hackathons.
• Experience building a personal audience via newsletters, podcasts, or social media.
