Development & Communications Intern

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit donor-facing communications and development content to engage supporters and communicate impact
• Create and refine templates and adaptable content for use across multiple cities
• Support the execution of fundraising-focused communications strategies
• Develop clear, concise, and compelling written content reflecting local and national impact
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging alignment
• Proofread and edit content for accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency
• Explore visual storytelling opportunities including basic graphic design and video content
• Support broader development activities including event preparation and administrative tasks

Requirements

• Strong writing and editing skills for donor-facing audiences
• Experience or interest in development, fundraising communications, and mission-driven storytelling
• Ability to work independently in a remote, flexible environment
• High attention to detail and proofreading accuracy
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn graphic design and multimedia content creation
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage timelines and deadlines
