Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with landowners, community stakeholders and regulatory agencies
• Manage third-party consultants, attorneys, and vendors for permitting and land acquisition
• Oversee all permitting processes for renewable energy projects to ensure regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with legal, environmental, and technical teams on necessary studies and documentation
• Monitor and manage timelines and budgets for permitting and environmental studies
• Engage with local governments and community groups to ensure project buy-in
• Stay updated on regulatory and policy changes impacting renewable energy projects
• Overcome site and regulatory challenges at complex sites

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field
• Two years of experience in development or a related occupation
• Experience with land use regulations, environmental permitting, and zoning laws
• Experience evaluating land and utility distribution networks for renewable project siting
• Experience engaging with local governments and public officials
• Knowledge of regulatory and policy changes in the renewable energy sector
