About the Company

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain systems for tracking ideas through development
  • Identify researchers and institutions to build relationships with
  • Find the right people and places for stories and handle outreach
  • Monitor latest research and discoveries to flag potential story developments
  • Spot new stories, write pitches, and present ideas to the team

Requirements

  • Degree in physics, maths, engineering, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • Confidence communicating with researchers and academics via cold outreach
  • Ability to set up and maintain databases
  • Excellent research, reading comprehension, and fact-checking skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality content

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in science communication, YouTube, or long-form science journalism
  • Familiarity with physics simulations or programming (Python, MATLAB)
