Dinka Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Dinka-English interpretation for OPI/VRI calls in healthcare and medical settings
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Apply professional standards of practice and interpreter code of conduct
• Take notes during calls and maintain high accuracy under time pressure
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications
• Report to team leaders and comply with dress code for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Native Dinka speaker with fluent English proficiency
• 1+ years of OPI/VRI interpretation experience with a recognized interpretation company
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills

Preferred Qualifications

• International healthcare certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.)
• Additional language pairs or specialized domain expertise
