Job description
Responsibilities
- Set the strategic direction for the Compliance Operations function, managing compliance across employment law and home care licensing.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to build tech-first, automated solutions that reduce manual compliance effort.
- Lead state licensing audits and audit-readiness programs end-to-end, including gap identification and remediation.
- Build and develop a high-performing team of 5–10 compliance and operations professionals.
- Translate regulatory changes into clear, actionable operational requirements and executable protocols.
- Develop and own key compliance metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into risk and operational efficiency.
- Continuously assess for compliance risk and opportunities to streamline operational friction.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in operations, product operations, or compliance roles.
- Experience working within a technology-first or high-growth company (e.g., health tech, logistics, or distributed workforce).
- Proven experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large, complex, or imperfect data sets.
- Demonstrated people management experience, including building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with employment law compliance or healthcare regulation.
- Experience managing state licensing or multi-state regulatory environments.
