Responsibilities

• Drive product and business impact by developing data scientists and providing hands-on mentorship
• Guide multiple data science projects involving statistical modeling, experiment design, and classifier implementation
• Collaborate cross-functionally to validate direction through data and build trust in organizational strategy
• Drive improvement of the data pipeline and develop strategies for actionable insights within privacy constraints
• Translate technical tradeoffs and risks clearly for executives and stakeholders

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data science or ML engineering
• 4+ years of experience leading teams
• Proven track record of setting multi-team roadmaps
• Expert-level ability to deploy and iterate ML and NLP solutions in production
• Proficiency in writing production-grade code in Python or a comparable high-level language
• Advanced SQL and query optimization skills
• Familiarity with columnar databases like BigQuery, Clickhouse, Redshift, or Druid
• Strong LLM/AI experience including fine-tuning and LLM-as-judge evaluation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a consumer-facing tech company where data or analytics is core to the product strategy
