Director, Email Deliverability

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end email deliverability strategy including IP pool architecture and domain strategy
• Design and manage IP and domain warming programs
• Establish and enforce authentication standards such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI
• Monitor sender reputation, inbox placement, and blocklist activity
• Serve as a senior deliverability expert and advisor for brands
• Partner with Product and Engineering to build deliverability tooling and infrastructure
• Build playbooks, processes, and standards to scale deliverability
• Maintain compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and mailbox-provider policies

Requirements

• 8+ years of dedicated email deliverability experience
• Deep technical command of email authentication and IP/domain warming
• Hands-on experience managing deliverability for high-volume senders
• Fluency with Google Postmaster Tools and Yahoo Sender Hub
• Strong understanding of e-commerce/DTC brands
• Ability to translate technical details into actionable strategy for marketers
• Experience building functions or processes from scratch

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at an ESP, CDP, or high-volume sending platform
• Existing relationships with mailbox providers
• Active participation in the deliverability community (e.g., M3AAWG)
