Job description

Responsibilities

  • Partner with BSA/AML stakeholders to translate screening strategy into detailed functional specifications and business rules
  • Serve as the BSA/AML subject matter expert during requirements discussions and system design
  • Provide functional oversight for customer, transaction, and watchlist screening capabilities
  • Own user acceptance testing (UAT) for BSA/AML screening platform enhancements and model changes
  • Oversee ongoing monitoring of screening outputs, alert volumes, and operational performance
  • Lead tuning and optimization activities to improve screening effectiveness and reduce false positives
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for BSA/AML screening capabilities
  • Build, mentor, and lead teams of BSA technology analysts and functional specialists

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in BSA/AML, Financial Crimes, or screening technology
  • 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing complex programs or technology initiatives
  • Strong working knowledge of BSA/AML screening platforms (e.g., Actimize, LexisNexis, SAS, Oracle Financial Crimes)
  • Demonstrated experience in functional design, business requirements, and UAT oversight
  • Strong understanding of BSA/AML regulatory requirements and financial crimes risk frameworks
  • Experience with screening model governance, including lifecycle management and tuning
  • Proficiency in data governance and data quality management practices
  • Ability to communicate complex requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (JD, MBA, or Masters in a related field)
  • CAMS, CFCS, or similar certification
