Director of Business Intelligence

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain high delivery and quality standards across all BI initiatives
• Own BI intake, prioritization, and roadmap development
• Lead the embedded BI team across multiple domains including PBM, Clinical, and Operations
• Manage analyst capacity and align the team to high-value workstreams
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development
• Partner with the Director of Analytic Platform to convert reporting needs into reusable data products
• Drive metric standardization, analytics governance, and version control
• Work with Engineering and Product teams to enable scalable analytics infrastructure

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience managing analytics or BI teams, including managing managers or leads
• Proven experience in BI delivery, including dashboards and self-service reporting at scale
• Direct experience and working knowledge of healthcare data
• 6+ years of experience in quantitative analytics and data storytelling
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and database technologies
• Experience with modern data stacks such as dbt, Redshift, or Snowflake
• Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Metabase
• Demonstrated experience in metric standardization and analytics governance
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Python and dbt for exploratory analytics
• Hands-on AWS experience
• Familiarity with data orchestration platforms like Airflow or dbt Cloud
