Director of Data Center Design

Responsibilities

• Define and own global data center white space, shell, and critical infrastructure design standards for next-generation AI/ML hardware
• Lead initial architecture and engineering phases for purpose-built data center programs to meet hyperscale requirements
• Direct the selection and integration of advanced cooling topologies, including liquid-first and direct-to-chip solutions
• Manage and mentor a team of electrical, mechanical, and architectural design engineers
• Drive continuous improvement in design processes to reduce time-to-market and construction costs

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
• 15+ years of experience in data center design, critical infrastructure, or facility engineering
• 10+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
• Expert knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier Standards, ASHRAE, and building codes (NEC, IBC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Experience designing and commissioning liquid cooling systems in hyperscale environments
• Familiarity with power distribution systems at utility and medium/high voltage levels
